International 14 past World Championships

International competition in International 14’s began back in the 1930’s when teams started to travel internationally to compete against other countries; typically some combination of Canada, the UK, USA, and later Bermuda. This evolved into the more organised and open to all team racing we have today.

Fleet racing for the individual World Championship did not begin until 1979; this has of course now become the major event, although the class still views the team racing as important.

Both individual and team worlds are still held (usually every 18-24 months). Below is a record – such as we have – of locations, winners, and available results and other references. The list is being expanded progressively; if you have anything you could add, please do contact the World Secretary.
